Christine Gentile is a New York-based interior designer with more than 30 years of experience creating interiors that are timeless, personal, and effortlessly livable. With a foundation in fashion buying, merchandising, and design, she brings a refined, detail-driven perspective to every project, thoughtfully balancing aesthetics, function, and longevity.
Christine founded Ashbourne in 1992 as an interior furnishings shop and importer of European antiques. As clients increasingly sought her guidance beyond individual pieces, her work naturally evolved into the design of complete rooms and residences. This organic progression led to Ashbourne Designs as a full-service interior design studio. Today, Christine leads projects ranging from large-scale estate renovations to kitchens and primary en suites, carefully guiding each space from initial concept through final execution.
For more than three decades, Christine has brought her fresh interpretation of traditional interior design to luxury homes and designer show houses throughout New York and the East Coast. Her work has been featured in Luxe Interiors + Design, Traditional Home, and Cottages & Gardens. Shaped by extensive travel and a lifelong appreciation for craftsmanship and beauty, her designs are warm, distinctive, and quietly enduring.
